FREELANCE DESIGN & Production Art

SALT & STRAW

As a freelancer, Salt & Straw came to me with the ask to create a template for an e-mail newsletter for them that highlighted their sweet, classic, and playful brand identity. I created my own patterns, wrote the copy for the headlines, and did photography of their famous ice cream flavors to bring their monthly newsletter to life in this design to give their readers “The Full Scoop”.

Nike

As an Image Artist at Nike, I worked closely with the design, merchandising, and manufacturing teams to streamline and prepare products for factory production. This included ensuring that line weights, layers, colors, and stitching were all set to Nike standards on Illustrator files for factory specs, as well as grid pages that were sent to various Nike teams to use. I was also asked to create colors and/or patterns, such as heathers, specialty patterns, and color block designs. Due to strict confidentiality, I’m not able to show any of the design files from my time at Nike, but below are some of the items that I helped bring to life through my production design skills.

Iclick, inc.

At iClick, Inc., I worked on a small team of 8 individuals who did around 100-120 files a day of designs and logos within the specified sizes to go on collateral including (but not limited to) Popsockets®, fidget spinners, and USBs. We got the chance to create custom shaped collateral as well, and include 3-D images for the factory to use for production. Below are my top 5 designs from my time at iClick, Inc.

FREELANCE LOGO DESIGNS

A collection of my favorite logo designs so far, complete with a little bit about the company and the reason behind the designs.

Beir Stein is a bar specializing in quality beers from around the world, featuring a literal wall of beer and 32 taps. They had a complicated and cluttered logo of an old school watering can that didn’t reflect their high tech and modern vibe and college age demographic. For their rebrand, I designed a logo that showcases their bold flavors and colors, appeals to a younger audience, and freshens up the bar’s outdated look with a more minimal approach.

Chow is a gastropub in Springfield, OR, that takes pride in putting a twist on everything in their establishment - from their very unique menu to their unbeatable customer service. I designed this logo to showcase the building’s industrial origins and what they’re most famous for - their burgers and sandwiches.

The Porch
is a dimly lit cajun restaurant located in Eugene, OR, with bold flavors and a classic Louisiana ambiance. The owner was looking for something that would give it an off-the-streets-of-Louisiana feel, and requested that the fleur de li be shining from behind the lamp post.
